The Employment Corner (Työllisyyden palvelutori in Finnish) is a service point offering personal guidance and advice in job seeking and education related matters. Service is intended for job seekers above the age of 30.
Specialists of the Employment Corner help job seekers with applying for work, looking for educational and training opportunities as well as clarifying job seekers’ plans for the future. The Employment Corner also organizes various group events related to education, developing digital and job seeking skills. Regular recruitment events provide job seekers with the opportunity to meet potential employers and find out more about available job offerings.
The Employment Corner is a pilot project created in cooperation between the Uusimaa Employment and Economic Development Office (TE Office) and employment services of the cities of Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa. The pilot project lasts until the end of 2019. Service points of the Employment Corner are located in the Iso Omena Service Centre in Espoo and in the TYP’s (Multi-disciplinary service enhancing employability) premises at Vernissakatu 1, 4.kerros, 01300 Vantaa. Employment Corner Helsinki is situated in the lobby of the Pasila Employment and Economic Development Office (TE Office) at Ratapihantie 7, 00520 Helsinki.
